XRP price target chatter is picking up again, and it is coming from crypto investor Cup, who posted an XRP price prediction putting the token at $5 sometime in the next six to 12 months. The post also lines up an XRP bullish outlook for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and SUI, and traders are already arguing over whether the XRP $5 price target actually fits inside that XRP next 12 months window, or if it is just wishful thinking at the time of writing.

XRP Price Prediction, $5 Target And Bullish Outlook For 2026

Cup Sets High Price Targets For Major Cryptocurrencies
The XRP price target actually came out of a short post on X, and Cup used it to lay out numbers for five coins at once, part of one XRP bullish outlook shared with his followers. Bitcoin got the biggest call, at $200,000. Cup put Ethereum above $10,000, and gave Solana a $1,000 target. SUI got a $4.50 number, and then there is XRP, which is really the one getting the most attention right now, sitting at that $5 mark.
Cup said:
“The next 6-12 months will be lifechanging. Bitcoin is going to $200,000. ETH will break $10,000. SOL will reach $1,000. XRP Will hit $5,00. SUI WILL HIT $4,50. Altcoins will explode. Patience.”
A chart came attached to the post too, lining up Bitcoin’s 2024 to 2025 structure against a projected 2026 to 2027 pattern, marking out an accumulation phase, a pre-bull stage, and then a bull run. Bitcoin sat around $126,000 in the earlier cycle on that chart, and near $265,000 in the one supposedly still coming.
Where Analysts Actually See The XRP Price Target Landing
Outside of Cup’s post, though, the XRP price target looks a lot more conservative once you check what Wall Street is actually saying. Standard Chartered had XRP at $8 for 2026 at first, then cut that number down to $2.80 back in February, pointing to slowing ETF inflows and a shaky macro picture as the reason. Most other analysts keep their numbers between $2 and $3.65 by year end, and even the AI models lean toward a modest $3 to $4 range.
XRP has mostly traded between $1.00 and $1.40 through 2026, so that XRP $5 price target still has quite a gap to close. Every fresh XRP price target that comes out this year seems to land below Cup’s, though a couple of the more bullish scenarios do bump right up against it.
Investors React, And Whether The XRP Next 12 Months Call Holds Up
Reactions under Cup’s post went in different directions. Derek M said he has held Bitcoin since 2017 and thought the numbers were reasonable. Nick veeBee disagreed completely, rejecting the whole six to 12 month idea and arguing Bitcoin might not even hit $200,000 by the top of some future cycle in 2029. Quacks Lady said she was ready for the run, JoHan pushed back on the SUI number, and Steve Schroer asked, half joking, whether Cup would actually donate Bitcoin to charity if none of this pans out.

No real technical case backs up any single number here, and right now the XRP price target of $5 is mostly being treated as a ceiling rather than something likely, with regulatory clarity and stronger ETF demand still the two pieces missing for it to happen inside that stated window.
For now, the space between Cup’s XRP bullish outlook and where most Wall Street desks actually sit stays pretty wide, and that gap is probably going to keep driving the conversation for as long as this XRP next 12 months window is still running. Whether this particular XRP price prediction ages well or turns into another missed call, the $5 number tied to the XRP $5 price target is still the one most people search for when they want to know what is coming next for XRP.
